Pharma Nord Bio-Ubiquinol Active QH 100mg 150 Capsules
Ubiquinol CoQ10 is Pharma Nord's Bio-Ubiquinol Active QH, containing coenzyme Q10 in its reduced form ubiquinol. Ubiquinol benefits may include elderly people or individuals with impaired digestion who may be less able to absorb supplemental coenzyme Q10 in its ubiquinone form.
Coenzyme Q10 is essential for the normal functioning of all tissues due to its role in the cellular energy production process. Both heart and skeletal muscles have the highest energy requirements of all bodily tissues, and are particularly reliant on adequate Q10 as a result.
What is coenzyme Q10?
Coenzyme Q10 occurs naturally within every cell in the human body, we cannot live without it. It is a vitamin-like substance which is found in our mitochondria (specialised structures within cells responsible for energy production), it is also important as an antioxidant, associated with various health benefits.
Approximately three quarters of the body's Q10 is manufactured within the liver. Small amounts of coQ10 can be obtained from food. Our Q10 levels peak between the ages of 20 and 25. As the body's ability to manufacture/absorb Q10 declines with age, our levels of Q10 will also decline. Dietary supplementation can help to maintain optimal levels of coenzyme Q10 within the body.
Ubiquinone CoQ10 and Ubiquinol CoQ10
What is the difference between the coenzyme Q10 products?
Ubiquinone (Oxidised CoQ10)
Pharma Nord's Bio-Quinone Active Q10 contains ubiquinone in its natural identical form. Most people are able to absorb supplemental coenzyme Q10 in this form adequately.
Ubiquinol (Reduced CoQ10)
Pharma Nord's Bio-Ubiquinol Active QH - contains coenzyme Q10 in the ubiquinol (reduced) form. This form may be beneficial for people with impaired digestive function.
Note: A good way to test products with ubiquinol coQ10 is to pierce the capsule/soft gel and squeeze out its contents. If it is white, it is ubiquinol. If it is yellow, it has been transformed to ubiquinone.
How does Ubiquinol work?
Pharma Nord's Ubiquinol benefits is a strong antioxidant that helps support the body with replenishing low levels of coenzyme Q10. Ubiquinol coQ10 is extremely sensitive to the effects of air and light. Dietary supplements with ubiquinol have one drawback; ubiquinol oxidizes once it's exposed to oxygen and thereby returns to its original form, ubiquinone. Via a unique patented process, we have succeeded in encapsulating the raw material in a way that allows it to remain in its reduced form. Our patented soft gel capsules protect Bio-Ubiquinol Active QH from light and oxidation to deliver the coQ10 in its intended form inside your body.
Pharma Nord is able to guarantee the stability of this product during the whole of the product shelf life.
Inferior brands of coenzyme Q10 sold in tablet form and in jars cannot guarantee the bioavailability of the active ingredients within.
Q10 Quality
100% Nature Identical
The raw material is produced by specialized yeast cells and is identical to the coenzyme Q10 produced by the body. In contrast to bacteria-fermented Q10, this yeast-fermented Q10 does not contain any yeast components or impurities of unknown nature. The raw material is completely free of harmful cis-isomers, often found in cheap synthetic Q10 raw materials of low quality. All raw materials used in the Bio-Ubiquinol Active QH undergo extensive quality control before production.
Using a special manufacturing technique the Q10 crystals completely dissolve at body temperature. It is this complete solution of Q10, a high quality raw material and manufacturing according to the pharmaceutical and the GMP protocol.
Pharma Nord Patented Process
Q10 is a fat-soluble substance which is difficult for the body to absorb. However, thanks to a highly specialized manufacturing process where coQ10 is suspended in an oil matrix and exposed to a patented heating process, the Q10 crystals are able to dissolve entirely into a single molecule at normal body temperature.
How much Ubiquinol should I take?
We recommend 1-3 capsules per day or as directed by a physician.
Note: It is not only the formulation of the preparation that determines how much Q10 the body absorbs. It also depends on the dose and the dose intervals. (FAQ – Dose and Dosage)
Are there adverse effects from taking Bio-Ubiquinol Active QH?
No adverse effects or contra-indications reported from Ubiquinol CoQ10.
Studies show that even if you take coenzyme Q10 dietary supplements for an extended length of time it does not affect the body's endogenous production of the compound. Some studies have used doses of 1200mg daily without any problems. More than 20 years of science support the use of Pharma Nord's Q10.
